Bears (Ursidae) are omnivore mammals that become 4 to 8 feet tall and weight 60 to 1,600 pounds. They are found throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia
They have nonretractable claws, short tails, and an excellent sense of smell. They're also usually solitary animals.
On average, bears can live up to 25 years in the wild and 50 years in captivity.
